Think About Your Feelings

  • Pause and check in with yourself.
  • Ask: “How do I feel today?”
    (Happy? Anxious? Excited? Frustrated? Calm?)

Match Your Mood to the Weather

  • Use your imagination! Think of a type of weather that matches your mood.
  • Examples:
    • ☀️ Happy = Sunny and warm
    • 🌧️ Sad = Rainy and gray
    • 🌪️ Angry = Stormy with strong winds
    • 🌤️ Hopeful = Cloudy with sunshine peeking through

Write Your Weather Report

  • Pretend you’re a weather reporter on TV!
  • Use this guide to help write your script: “Good morning! This is [Your Name] with your emotional weather update. Today’s feeling forecast is [type of weather], with a chance of [add more detail about how you’re feeling]. The high today is [emotion detail], and the low is [another feeling or thought]. Stay tuned, and don’t forget your [tool or strategy to help your mood]!”
  • Example:”Good morning! This is Jordan with your emotional weather update. Today’s feeling forecast is partly cloudy with a chance of nervousness. The high today is excitement about trying something new, but the low is a little fear of messing up. Stay tuned, and don’t forget your deep breathing—it might come in handy!”

Record Your Video

  • You can use your phone, tablet, or school device to record.
  • Feel free to get creative—use hand motions, sound effects, or props!

Share with the Class

  • If you’re comfortable, share your video with the class.
  • Watch each other’s reports and notice how we all feel different things—and that’s okay!

✨ Bonus Tips:

  • You can make a weather map or draw your forecast on paper to hold in the video.
  • Add music or background sounds for extra fun (optional).
