What Do Red Pandas Eat?

For the first few weeks after birth, the mother stays close to her cubs, nursing and protecting them. She moves them to different nest locations to avoid predators and keeps them hidden for up to three months. Once the cubs are strong enough, they begin exploring their surroundings but stay with their mother for nearly a year before becoming independent.
